WSP+ 4.0 Console

Launching WSP+ 4.0

To launch WSP+ 4.0 after installation just double click the Web Scraper Plus+ icon on your desktop.

WSP+ 4.0 Console opens with the "New Web Package Wizard" at the center. Cancel for now.

The WSP+ 4.0 Console is the starting point for all of your activities. The Console will show all of your Packages, DataPages, as well as all menu functions need to build, edit, and execute your data extraction projects. Let’s look at the features and menus.

This is the Console default view. It shows the list of packages that have been created.

Let’s look at the Console Package menu options.

·      New - Launches "Create a New Package" Wizard.

·      Open – When a Package is selected from the list, this opens the package for editing.

·      Copy - Makes an exact copy of a selected Package. This is great when you need to create multiple packages that are similar. After you create the copy, use Open to edit it.

·      Delete – Deletes a package.

·      Import – Allows you to import a Package from Velocityscape consulting, Velocityscape support, another computer, or a local file store.

·      Export – Allows you to export a package as a file to send to Velocityscape support, another computer, or local file store.

·      Send To – Another handy way to Export a Package to Velocityscape support, the Velocityscape samples directory online, or any email address. You must have Outlook, Outlook Express, or another MAPI compliant email client.

·      Execute – Executes a Package to run its Tasks.

·      Refresh – Refreshes the Package list. If you just created a Package, it is sometimes necessary to refresh to see it in the Package list.

Let’s look at the Console DataPage menu options. The only difference is there is no Execute option. A DataPage is executed by a package or by the test button that is present in the DataPage Open in edit mode.

·      New - Launches "Create a New Datapage" Wizard.

·      Open – When a Datapage is selected from the list, this opens the Datapage for editing.

·      Copy - Makes an exact copy of a selected Datapage. This is great when you need to create multiple Datapages that are similar. After you create the copy, use Open to edit it.

·      Delete – Deletes a Datapage.

·      Import – Allows you to import a Datapage from Velocityscape consulting, Velocityscape support, another computer, or a local file store.

·      Export – Allows you to export a Datapage as a file to send to Velocityscape support, another computer, or local file store.
